The Division of Early Childhood of the Council on Exceptional Children released the Revised DEC Recommended Practices, in April 2014.They are designed to provide guidance to practitioners, families and administrators regarding the most effective ways to promote the development of young children from birth through five years of age who have or are at-risk for developmental delays or disabilities. They identify evidence-based strategies and interventions designed to facilitate the development of young children with special needs.
