The IECMHC Network measures success both by the numbers and by the lived experiences of those we serve. Together, these data tell a comprehensive story of the impact the IECMHC Network’s services have on child care and early education providers, families, and children across California.

“The most important part of this experience to me was having someone to talk to that didn’t know the children [in my care] or my coworkers… I got an outsider’s point of view on certain situations. It was very helpful having [the consultant] help me brainstorm some ideas on how to help certain children in my classroom when they are feeling their big emotions.”

“Joining the Open-Door sessions was more than awesome, as a provider I see myself as pretty isolated because I only work with little ones, so hearing [the other Open-Door participants’] struggles and positive outcomes helped me a lot.”

“I appreciated how the courses were designed in a comprehensive way to address all aspects of the consultant’s role. The reflective supervision and CoP (Community of Practice) sessions were integral in providing the example of how to implement the parallel process, and process of exploration in an individual and group format. Participating with others who are as invested in this field was uplifting. The faculty’s enthusiasm and love of this field was evident in each course. As well, connecting to and providing support to an outside childcare provider was extremely helpful in practicing all elements of the consultative stance.”
